UNDERWORLD

 

Underworld uses natural and artificial light to explore the inner life of glass sculptures. As the light sources shifted, the diverse sculptures – some familiar objects, some more mysterious – were exposed in different ways. In some moments, the light played on the outside of the objects and emphasised their otherness. In other moments, there was an X-ray like effect that took us inside the structures, creating an extra layer of texture, suggesting access to a deeper level of response to them.
