A world where everything moves and collides and glass gets to be itself, something that exists beyond our choices. The glass pieces are imperfect and beautiful. Their directions are shown by dotted white lines on a platform of mirrors.

Glass is liquid as well as solid – always moving and changing even if only slightly. It seems fixed but it is not.
An imaginary shipment to the outer worlds and the future. It contains samples from our world that certainly will not make sense to anyone who finds it.

996 Pieces explores the possibilities of a material that is all around us and taken for granted. Impurities in old window glass make the results of re-using it unpredictable, reflecting the complex mix of glass and its history.

This collection of glass objects, tiny tardigrade creatures and body parts is a selection of specimens from a crystalized world, a weird excavation gone wrong.

what is glass beyond its utility for us? What I am looking for is the identity of the glass. Glass is rebellious and hard to control. Yet it has been a crucial tool in the quest to master the world and its resources.
WINDOW GLASS PROJECT
Much of the glass I use is old, re-cycled from windows and bottles.
It has a previous life. So the pieces come with a story and a history. Stories are then merging and creating new meanings.
