CHACAO, UN VIAJE A LO DESCONCODO

CHACAO, un viaje a lo desconcodo (Chacao, a trip to the unknown) addressed reality and fiction and what we believe is real. 

 

A group of school students aged 14-18, from a selection of private and public schools in the Chacao area of Caracas, got the task to write stories about their city. It was up to them to create stories that were fiction, non-fiction or a free mix; the only thing that was asked of them was that the story should be important to them. 

 

Blindfolded they picked a spot on the map which became the starting point for their story. The result was some strong and passionate stories about life, death, dreams and love on the Internet. Four actors interviewed the students to understand the background and motivation so they could present the stories to a small two-at-a-time audience. The actors acted as guides, taking people in cars around the streets of Caracas. They went to the locations where the stories happened. The sources of the stories were never revealed. They were just stories that were part of the city.
